Unionview Video Transcript

At the western end of the Metropolitan and Piccadilly underground lines, Uxbridge is home to one of the UK’s newest-looking universities. There’s something futuristic about Brunel University, named after one of Britain’s most famous engineers, and the facilities here don’t disappoint. Recently the university has been surging up the league tables.

The campus is very self-contained, with the principal hub probably being the avenue that houses the Students’ Union as well as the library.

Most of Brunel’s lectures take place within the large lecture complex at the heart of the University beside the quad.

All accommodation at Brunel is on site, and dotted about the campus.

The Refectory is a the principal eatery on campus and where most students head for a cheap meal. Across the way there’s a good café offering your usual coffees and paninis. If you want to cook for yourself, there’s a decent sized Costcutter beneath the Students’ Union. Uxbridge meanwhile contains some familiar chains, as well as some more individual restaurants and take-aways.

Brunel can’t be faulted on its sports facilities.

Uxbridge is a five minute bus ride away and contains a couple of shopping malls. For any other shopping needs, there’s always London.
