'The role of wearable technology in promoting physical activity and healthy behaviours: proof of concept, participants' experiences and policy implications'

 

  1. The overall aim of the research seminar series is to provide a platform for researchers and practitioners to critically discuss the role of wearable technology in promoting physical activity and healthy behaviour. More specifically, the series seek to:

    (i) analyse the extent to which wearable technology facilitate the creation of social networks that stimulate interactions across a range of demographics and levels of involvement;

    (ii) discuss how wearable technology can help improve customer experience, change behaviour and increase participation in physical activity;

    (iii)examine the policy implications of wearable technology for physical activity, health and sport organisations.

    Registration will start at 12.30pm, tea and coffee will be provided.
