Security is a key concern in national and international affairs. But what do we mean by security? Is it a condition, a perception or repetitive “performative acts”, such as patrols and airport security checks, played out in front of us – the audience? In this lecture Professor Krahmann will present radically different notions of security in order to understand why security has been and will remain elusive, both in theory and praxis.
A drinks reception will follow the lecture.
