Invitation
How am I invited?
Students are invited to attend Graduation via an electronic invitation in eVision.
When am I invited?
You will be emailed when you are able to view your invitation by logging into eVision and clicking on ‘My Graduation’ in the left hand column.
How do I respond?
To respond to the task in eVision you will need your student ID number (printed on ID card) and then:
- Go to https://evision.brunel.ac.uk
- Enter your username (your username is your student ID number without the /1, /2 etc).
- Enter your eVision student portal password (or follow the on-screen instructions if you have forgotten your password).
- Look at the list on the left hand side of the screen and click on “my Graduation”.
Why do I need to respond?
It is as important to inform the University that you will not be attending as it is that you will be attending.
It is important to inform the University if you wish to attend so that appropriate arrangements are made surrounding your attendance.
If you are not planning to attend you need to let the University know so that arrangements can be made to send your certificate to you without delay following your ceremony.
What is the deadline for responding?
In order for you to take part in your ceremony and to sit with your peers as well as guaranteeing two guest tickets (charged at £25 each) for your ceremony, you will need to complete your invitation task by 30 June.
If you missed the deadline you will be seated to one side of the main student body and there will be no advance guest ticket allocation.
What information will I need to give in the invitation?
In the invitation you will be asked to:
- confirm either your attendance or non-attendance
- update contact details for future Graduation correspondence
- apply for guest tickets
- request Invitation Letters to support you or your guests' visa application
- inform the University if you or any of your guests have additional requirements relating to disability
What will happen if I don’t reply?
If you do not reply to your Graduation Invitation Task and you want to attend your ceremony, it will not be possible to accommodate you on the day as you will not have been allocated a seat. Your certificate will not be produced for you to collect on the day. Without replying to the invitation you are not able to request any guest tickets.
If you do not wish to attend but do not reply to your task there will be a delay in the University being able to make your certificate available.
