Brunel Professor wins national US book award in arts category

The Professional and Scholarly Publishing (PSP) Division of American Publishers (AAP) presented the awards in 30 categories at its annual conference in Washington DC this month.

Professor Dixon who was Head of the School of Arts at Brunel University, London, prior to his appointment last year to Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Development), said: “The book was a long journey for me, and a labour of love that lasted seven years - growing from an envisaged 300 pages to over 800 pages by the end. I'm thrilled that its length and ambitious nature has been judged as a positive strength.“

Digital Performance, which is having its second imprint within a year of publication, has been described as “field-defining“ in scholarly reviews.
