Top five rankings for History, Design and Physiotherapy in Guardian League Tables

Nigeria - Abuja - UKEAS education fair

Brunel is one of the top five Universities in the UK to study History, Design or Physiotherapy, according to the 2012 Guardian University Guide, released today [17 May 2011].

The subject areas for History and for Design both ranked third overall, while Physiotherapy is ranked fifth place.

History’s1 impressive position in the latest league tables – above the likes of the University of Oxford and King’s College London – is partly due to its excellent score in last year’s National Student Survey, in which the subject area recorded 98% satisfaction for teaching and 100% overall satisfaction. History is renowned for its strong community between students and staff and has worked hard to strengthen all aspects of the student experience in the last few years.

Design2 at Brunel retains its position near the top of the league tables, just behind the University of Oxford and University College London. The University’s Product and Industrial Design degrees have produced a long list of successful graduates, many of whom now hold senior positions in the world’s biggest companies, including Nokia, Virgin and Dyson. Final year students are also able to present their major projects to industry in the respected Made in Brunel annual exhibition in central London.

Physiotherapy3 also retains its fifth position in the latest rankings. The long-established course has won consistently high praise from its students in every single National Student Survey since its inception in 2007 and has an excellent record for graduate employment.
