Carl is a specialist Criminal Advocate with Higher Rights of Audience in all Criminal Proceedings and regularly appears in the Court of Appeal, Crown Courts and Magistrates Courts throughout the United Kingdom.

After practising criminal law for over 20 years, his experience has involved him defending clients charged in relation to Customs and Excise offences, serious crime, major fraud and court martial.

He has represented foreign nationals involved in money laundering investigations and many cross border investigations involving both national police forces and Interpol.

Carl\'s cases range from the most complex of murder cases to the most minor road traffic allegations and is regarded in the profession as an accomplished trial lawyer acting as both Leading and Junior Counsel.

His work defending clients was also featured as part of a television documentary, which followed one of Scotland Yard’s specialist crime units and his cases have included the Worlds Largest Ebay Fraud, the very first prosecution for Land Bank fraud and the first ever prosecution for downloading and storing illegal material using internet Newsgroups. He is currently instructed in case defending Clients charged with Child Murder, Multi-Jurisdictional Frauds valued at 100 Million Euro fraud against a Foreign Oil Multinational and a £200 million fraud against a foreign Bank and cases of Kidnap and Torture.

Away from everyday practice, Carl is a Visiting Associate Professor at Brunel University, has been asked to lecture to members of the Police, the Fire Brigade, Trading Standards, the RSPCA and the Crown Prosecution Inspectorate. Carl is also involved in the training of new Solicitors as Advocates, has lectured to numerous schools on the legal rights of juveniles and is a consultant specialist advocacy trainer involved in Witness Familiarisation Preparation.

Having been involved in the Martial Arts since the age of 6, a Martial Arts Instructor for the last 25 years, not only in the United Kingdom but also around the world, to both civilians, door supervisors and law enforcement personnel and a former Close Protection Officer for an MP and a High Ranking Public figure, Carl undertakes a large amount of work on behalf of Door Supervisors and also advises the Security Profession on the Legal Aspects of their work.

Carl has also been appointed to one of the Lord Chancellor\'s Judicial Selection Committee\'s on the selection, recommendation and supervision of Lay Justices in the Magistrates Court.
