George completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Bedfordshire, graduating in 2009 with a BSc in Sports Therapy. He then moved to Edinburgh and completed his MSc in Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) at Queen Margaret University. Following his graduation and registration he worked for a year as a physiotherapist in his home country, Cyprus, before applying for a PhD at Brunel University.
George entered Brunel in October 2013. He is currently conducting his PhD studies under the supervision of professor Bill Baltzopoulos and Dr. Amir Mohagheghi. He is investigating the acute/chronic effects of stretching techniques, the mechanisms underpinning these effects and their relation to injuries and sports performance.
Outside university, George enjoys a variety of sports but his main passion is football and especially futsal (indoor football). Alongside his sporting interests George loves reading books and watching movies.
