Membership and affiliation

Paul is a member of several film and media scholary societies, including the Society for Cinema and Media Studies, the Media, Communication and Cultural Studies Association, the International Association for Media and History and the British Association of Film, Television, and Screen Studies.

He is a member of the BAFTSS British Cinema & Television Special Interest Group and a mentor for its early career mentoring scheme. 

Media interests

Paul has written articles on Film Four for the media magazine Televisual, on EMI Films for Viewfinder and on British horror for the British Film Institute's Screenonline. Paul's short films have been featured as part of the BBC Film Network, the British Council's View From Here exhibition and, most recently, as part of a symposium at the Museum of London. He was an executive producer on the short fiction film The Sound (2018), which won awards and nominations at several international film festivals.
