Qualifications: BSc, MPhil, PhD

Dr Siamak Tavakoli started with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Ploytechnique), and completed his PhD in Electronic Systems Engineering at Brunel University West London. He specialises in R&D around Embedded Engineering to make sensor data collection platforms, stationary or airborne. He appreciates the efficiency of information integration by the application of real-time selection algorithms.

Over the past 23 years, Siamak worked on a number of projects in Manufacturing, Environment, Semiconductor, Subsea Robotics, and Military sectors at national and international levels. He led, managed, conceptualised, designed, developed, and was instrumental in Technology for Nature at Microsoft, FP7 TRIDEC, GEMECD, and Fast Earthquake Early Detection at Queen Mary University of London, EventTracker, VoiceTalk, and Satistica at Brunel University, Hybrid Fingerprint Generator, Crawler, and GCU to mention a few.

He enjoys working on the conjunction between IoT and Drones for civilian and industrial inspection projects. At BIC Siamak looks into the feasibility of the application of the unmanned aerial platforms for industrial inspection purposes.
