Structural health monitoring

The goal of the structural health monitoring (SHM) research at Brunel is to develop robust and cost-effective SHM solutions by combining and integrating expertise from wide range of engineering and information technology disciplines. These include, sensing, data acquisition and data interrogation, which in our approach requires predictive modelling to support the design of the sensing system and validation of the data interrogation algorithms for damage identification based on statistical pattern recognition.
