Katherine is a structural engineer specialising in structural design and analysis, fire engineering and also experimental and numerical analysis.

Brief biography

Katherine gained a PhD from Imperial College London in 2009 in Advanced Structural Engineering. The topic of her thesis was “Ultimate behaviour of floor slabs under extreme loading conditions”. She was awarded an MEngSc (Research) in Civil Engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland (2006) with a thesis entitled “The use of axle acceleration measurements in a vehicle fleet to estimate road roughness”. She gained a first class honours BEng degree from University College Cork, Ireland, in 2004.
