Undergraduate destinations: Dyson vacuums up 2012 Brunel talent
An unprecedented total of ten, or 10% of 2012 Brunel design graduates have joined Dyson since graduating in June 2012. Dyson business has recently broken the £1bn turnover mark and continues to invest strongly in graduate talent to fuel new product development for future growth. Dyson has been our top employer of graduates for the last five years. But overall, our design graduates have been moving into an incredibly wide variety of jobs, across a broad range of industries and in really exciting career directions. Other 2012 graduates have secured jobs with FIRA International, Tesla Motors (Palo Alto, CA), Symtech, Integrity Management, Hyphen Design Consultants, Seyourpowell, The British Army, Imperial GB Laboratories, Mars Food UK, Colart and NCR (Dundee). Many of our graduates chose to further their education, embarking on MA, MSc, MPhil and PhD programmes and a few have set up their own brand new companies in the dance and music industries. One of our graduates, Sal Craig, an inspired creative thinker, who graduated in 2004, went on to gain his PhD with Brunel and has just informed us that he is now lecturing at Harvard University, commuting there from his London-based job with Foster & Partners. Brunel is the springboard for the most extraordinary career trajectories.
