Research and Teaching

Research Interests

The work published by Rees et al over a 35 year period concerns the many different ways that materials respond to the loads placed upon them under service conditions. An understanding of these allows materials to be shaped as desired. It further enables the service life to be predicted when the operating conditions are severe as with gas turbine blades and high pressure pipeline.
