Short Bio
James Lamb graduated with a BSc in Industrial Design from Brunel University.
James was one of the very first design engineers at Dyson, starting with the company when it was still based in the legendary garden shed in 1992.
He went on to consultancy with Random Product Design before becoming a founding Director of TheAlloy in 1999. Between 2006 and 2010 James jointly ran The Product Works. He set up Lamb Industries, an industrial design consultancy in 2011.
James has taught at the RCA as visiting tutor. He is proud to be a visiting lecturer at his alma mater, Brunel University, where he also serves as the Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor in Innovation to the school of design and engineering.
