PhD Research:
The rapid growth of electronic documents and the extreme variety in online information has driven the need for Data Mining applications. Text Data Mining is the process of discovering useful or interesting patterns or trends from unstructured text.
In this research a machine learning approach, augmented by linguistic knowledge, to process Arabic Text Data Mining will be carried out. In order to conduct that, the steps below will be followed:
- Conduct research on previous and on going Arabic Text Mining methodologies and approaches.
- Focused research on Arabic Text Mining techniques involving morphological analysis and machine learning in particular.
- Present a machine learning approach for Arabic Text Mining guided by previous effective and advanced methodologies, including a root extraction technique based on morphological analysis and linguistic constraints.
- Build an Arabic Text Mining System following the derived methodologies and perform testing and evaluation procedures as required to deliver the system.
