PhD Research:

Remote guidance systems have the potential to make lives of visually impaired people safer and easier. One of these systems is Brunel Remote Guidance System (BRGS) designed by the Centre of Guidance System Research at Brunel University. The aim of this research is to improve the performance of the BRGS by selecting the optimum screen resolution for the guide terminal. These improvements will enable the provision of sufficiently important information for the guidance process.  The performance has been measured and compared in relation to four different standard screens resolution combinations of the main components of the guide terminal – the video feed display (VFD) and digital map (DM).
