CMS Project
The installation of one of the two endcap electromagnetic calorimeters in the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at CERN. Brunel, a member of CMS since 1995, has contributed to the design, installation and commissioning of the specially developed fast radiation tolerant photodetectors that record the scintillation light produced in this detector when a high energy photon or electron from a collision of the proton bunches in the Large Hadron Collider.
