PhD Research Title: Multi Constraint Quality of Service (QoS) Routing for Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks
Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) are the special type of Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) where mobile nodes are vehicles and move more regularly they follow roads and traffic rules at high speeds.
Our goal is to design multi constraint routing protocol for vehicular ad hoc network that build a high quality route from source vehicle to the destination vehicle. Vehicles may need some local information about parking, local traffic jam, traffic accident, shops/restaurants nearby and also wants to access Internet.
However, it is very expensive to cover all the roads by fixed infrastructure. Thus it is quite reasonable to extend the coverage of these short range wireless stations via inter-vehicle communication.
