Staff and students from Brunel’s School of Engineering and Design made a great impression at the ‘Girls in Science: Engineering the Future’ conference in Bristol.

Professor Hua Zhao’s election to SAE Fellowship
Professor Hua Zhao, Head of the Mechanical Engineering in the School of Engineering and Design, has been elected SAE fellow in October 2011. SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) International is a US based global association that serves more than 129,000 engineers and related technical experts from the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries.

Delegates from the 4th successful ESAB “developing excellence” workshop held in the School from 12 – 16 September 2011. In October 2009, a £200+k contract for CPD was awarded to Brunel by ESAB, an international supplier of welding and cutting products.
