Brunel to drive £60 million National Research Centre for Structural Integrity
Brunel University has been awarded £15 million of funding from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) as part of a new £60 million initiative to establish a National Research Centre for Structural Integrity. The award represents the largest single award for research that Brunel has ever received.

Thomas Gerald Gray Charitable Trust Scholarship
The Thomas Gerald Gray Charitable Trust was established in memory of Thomas Gerald Gray, who died in 1988. During his working life in the field of engineering Thomas Gray was concerned by the lack of appreciation and status of engineering within society. The Charity was registered in 1997 with the objective “to advance public education, particularly concerning engineering and technology and the promotion of study and appreciation of engineering and technology”.August 2012
Formula Student Competition 2012 – Brunel MSc Automotive and Motorsports course ranked third in the competition!
Congratulations to the 2012 MSc Automotive and Motorsports team performance at Formula Student this year. The car came 3rd overall and was ranked top in the "cost" category in the Class 2 division of the competition.

ResCon'12 Prize Winners
The School is pleased to announce that this year’s ResCon 3 day event was a huge success with 130 oral presentations in parallel sessions, along with 70 poster presentations, across the 5 subject areas. The School prize giving event for ResCon took place today and we are pleased to announce the winners.
Brunel student wins top prize at New Route PhD Conference
Saeed Sharif, a final-year NewRoutePHD student at Brunel's School of Engineering and Design, was awarded the prize for best presentation at the recent New Route Conference, held in London at the SOAS Brunei Gallery.
