Please select the type of contract/application you would like to cancel. You can only use this form to cancel your room if you have not already started your contract or have not collected the keys for your allocated room.

Waiting List for 2013/14

If you would like to cancel your details from the waiting list for accommodation for session 2013/14 please submit the online cancellation form.

Allocation for 2014/15

Terms and Conditions

Your £350 deposit (14/15) is non-refundable unless notice is given to Accommodation Services 7 days before the start of your contract. Notice is to be given to Accommodation Services using the online cancellation form (provided that your Licence Agreement does not begin within this 7 day period). With the exception of the following:

Returning student single rooms

You will have seven days from the payment date of your booking fee to cancel your application and receive a full refund of your booking fee (provided that your Licence Agreement does not begin within this 7 day period).

After the 7 day booking fee cancellation period the following single accommodation cancellation charges will apply:

  • By 1 August 2014: £50
  • By 31 August 2014: £100
  • From 1 September 2014 the £350 booking fee will be retained by the University to cover the additional administration expenses incurred in finding a replacement and processing their documentation.

Notice is to be given to Accommodation Services using the online cancellation form.

Studio flats

You will have seven days from the payment date of your booking fee to cancel your application and receive a full refund of your booking fee (provided that your Licence Agreement does not begin within this 7 day period).

After the 7 day booking fee cancellation period (see regulation 8.10) the following studio flat accommodation cancellation charges will apply:

  • By 31 July 2014: £50
  • From 1 August 2014 the £450 booking fee will be retained by the University

Students on formal placement - cancelling before the start of the Licence Agreement

Undergraduate students who are subsequently offered and accept an official University placement may cancel their room application or room offer (by 1 September 2014) and receive a full refund of the booking fee. You will be able to select this as your cancellation reason on the online cancellation form. Once you have submitted this form Accommodation Services will seek verification from the Placement Office of your placement commencement date. If you are offered and accept an official University placement after the Licence Agreement has started normal terms and conditions will apply please contact Accommodation Services for further information.
