Visiting Students

Why stay at Brunel?

We offer great value summer accommodation for students needing to live in the local area and student travellers alike. Brunel is close to London and all of its major tourist attractions. Whether on a work placement, on holiday or looking for a short term let, we will try and fulfil your requirements.

The campus, facilities and transport

The campus is located close to Heathrow Airport/Stockley Park. It is also a short distance from Uxbridge town centre/underground station; a 20 minute walk or short bus ride. It is very convenient for anyone working in the local area, or travelling into London. Buses run directly into the centre of Uxbridge from the campus gates.

Parking is available for summer visitors. It is strictly controlled and all vehicles must be registered with the University (form is available here from May 2013) and display an appropriate permit, which is available at a small charge. (NB The issue of a permit by the University does not guarantee a parking space.) Guests should note that events, such as our graduation ceremonies and summer schools, are held on campus during the summer period. The campus offers use of a wide variety of facilities including the library, Sports Centre, bars, bank, shops, various eating and coffee shop outlets and launderettes.

Please note: During graduation week (22-26 - July 2013) certain parking restrictions will be in place.
