Access is by appointment only to all bona fide researchers. Please contact:

All new readers are required to produce a letter of introduction along with proof of identity and will need to complete an application and undertaking form on their first visit to the Archive.

In line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Regulations, the general records held in the University Archives are open to the public, unless specific exemptions apply. Records containing personal data may be exempt from disclosure under the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Please note: The archives are closed on all public holidays and during other advertised periods of University closure.

Enquiries

We will respond to general enquiries about the Collections, as required by the Freedom of Information Act. However, we are unable to undertake detailed research and enquirers are advised to visit the Archives to undertake their own research.
