Biography

Second Lieutenant Charles Edward Sadler was the son of William E. and Sarah Sadler. He attended Borough Road College for two years, though nothing is known of his time spent at the college. Sadler signed up for active service and joined the East Lancashire Regiment. He was killed on the 1 July 1916 whilst leading his men at Beaumont Hamel.
