Biography

Second Lieutenant Cyril John Perkins attended Borough Road College for two years, where he played football. His destination is listed as “Second Lieutenant” implying a direct transfer from education to war service. Perkins joined the 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. He died from the effects of a gas shell explosion on 27 June 1917.
