PARADE

Book by Alfred Uhry, Music & lyrics by Jason Robert Brown Co-Conceived by Harold Prince

First performed in 1998 and the winner of many awards, including the Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Musical Score, PARADE proves that musicals can have a hard-hitting message, a gripping plot and amazing songs.

Jason Robert Brown’s modern musical tells the true story of Leo Frank, a Jewish Yankee factory supervisor, falsely accused of murder. Set in Marietta, Georgia in 1913, 50 years after the Civil War, the mix of anti Yankee feeling and rife anti-Semitism at the time leads to a miscarriage of justice with tragic consequences.

Tickets: £8, Brunel students: £5, Free for Arts Centre Friends

Available now from The Arts Centre 01895 266074, artscentre@brunel.ac.uk

An amateur production by arrangement with JOSEF WEINBERGER LTD. on behalf of MUSIC THEATRE INTERNATIONAL of New York.

If you want to know more about how to get involved in the show (on stage, or as part of the Tech Crew), contact The Arts Centre - 01895 266074, artscentre@brunel.ac.uk
