Maggini Quartet Concert - Friday 2 June at 7.30 pm

Fee per player: £120 (pre formed quartets only)

The Maggini’s well-established courses at Brunel offer quartet players a weekend of coaching of unrivalled quality and exceptional value. We are delighted they will be giving a further course here in June 2017. The quartet has an international reputation for the quality of their playing and their teaching, and their courses in both the UK and Europe are often over-subscribed.

The course is restricted to 6 pre-formed quartets, allowing a very high level of tutor contact for the students during the coaching sessions. Additionally, Saturday afternoon provides an opportunity for course members to arrange their own informal playing of larger-scale string chamber works, and the course ends with an informal concert for all participants. The course is non-residential.

Players may bring any works they wish to study, but must provide scores. Works for larger ensembles will be available for Saturday afternoon.

Brunel University's Uxbridge campus is a 35 minute drive from Central London, and is within minutes of the M4, M25 and M40 motorways. A range of overnight accommodation is available on campus, if required (more details are available from the University's Commercial Services webpages:    http://brunelcommercial.london/hotel/  )  Course members are welcome to bring their own lunches to eat on campus, or to sample the range of eating places nearby.
