Social Function Banqueting Menus

All banqueting menus are accompanied by a selection of wholemeal, poppy knot, petits pains and crusty rolls with butter.

  • Tomato and basil soup served with croutons
  • Roast chicken served with chipolata, stuffing and a watercress garnish, accompanied by roast chateau potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Banqueting Menu 2

  • Traditional Caesar salad with bacon, garlic croutons and shaved parmesan
  • Slow roast loin of pork, dusted with paprika and diced tomatoes with a Calvados cream, accompanied by roast chateau potatoes and seasonal vegetables
  • Exotic fruit salad with Chantilly cream
  • Coffee and mints

Banqueting Menu 3

  • Cream of wild mushroom soup with walnut bread
  • Traditional strip loin of beef and Yorkshire pudding, served with a rich beef gravy & horseradish cream, accompanied by roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables
  • Warm lattice apple pie served with custard
  • Coffee and mints

Banqueting Menu 4

  • Poached cold Scottish salmon delice, dressed with lime and dill mayonnaise on a watercress and radish salad
  • Braised lamb shank slow roasted in Beaujolais served with a crusted dumpling, accompanied by fondant potatoes and seasonal vegetables
  • Brandy basket with orange sorbet, surrounded by oranges in a saffron jelly
  • Coffee and mints

Banqueting Menu 5

  • Chicken liver and cranberry parfait, with onion marmalade and crusty bread
  • Poached salmon on a bed of Chinese leaves and beurre blanc, accompanied by new potatoes and seasonal vegetables
  • Chocolate and brandy Alexandra
  • Coffee and mints

  • Vegetable Wellington
    Puff pastry case filled with fresh vegetables in a tomato sauce
  • Oven baked field mushrooms, stuffed with spinach, garlic and goat's cheese, served with a Hollandaise sauce

Traditional cheese platter to include a variety of three cheeses, grapes, celery, a selection of English chutneys and cheese biscuits
