Skills for University

Studying at university will require you to develop your academic skills, from learning how to be self-motivated and work independently to learning how to process complex information and write in an 'academic' style. Use these pages to get started before you arrive at Brunel - from taking a skills audit to working through a tutorial about how to work with feedback.

Throughout your time at Brunel, you will be given numerous opportunities to develop these skills through your courses, assessments and through extra-curricular activities. However, it is up to you to work hard to be the person you want to be when you leave!
