University systems

The two online portals you'll be using initially are Blackboard Learn our virtual learning environment to access your lecture notes and timetables and e-Vision our administrative portal to do your initial enrollment and manage your personal records. All academic schools will also have an administrative team who can support you in person with a range of tasks - from how to submit assignments to how to access your student handbook.

Once enrolled, academic and administrative staff will mostly contact you via your Brunel email account and through messages sent in Blackboard Learn. It is your responsibility to check these regularly. You will also need to set up a password which you must make secure and not share with anyone else.

Blackboard Learn

You may be familiar with virtual learning environments (e.g.Moodle) from school or college. Brunel University subscribes to Blackboard Learn and you will use this regularly to access lecture notes and supplementary materials. You may also use it to interact with academic staff, submit assignments and view your grades.

You will be able to log on with your student number (e.g. 1101234) and network password at

https://blackboard.brunel.ac.uk

e-vision

This is a system used for accessing your student record, changing personal details, viewing results and completion of admin tasks such as module selection, enrolment, graduation and applications for funding. As part of your admissions letter you will be sent details of how to complete an enrolment task using this system which can be accessed at https://evision.brunel.ac.uk/. This task will generate your network username and password used to logon to campus PCs, access your university email and much more.
