Fines
What will I have to pay if I return items late?
The Library charges fines to ensure that resources are returned on time so that they are available to the maximum number of users. If an item is returned late, it becomes overdue and fines are charged as follows:

| 1 week loans | 50p per day |
| 3 day loans | £1 per day |
| Overnight loans | £1 per hour or part of an hour |
| Videos & DVDs | £3 per day |
Items that have been recalled will be subject to a recall fine of 50p per day.
Please note that if your fines exceed £15 then an automatic block is placed on your account, which will prevent further borrowing or renewals. This block can be lifted by reducing fines below £15. If any items are overdue then estimated fines will count towards this threshold, and payments cannot be made against estimated fines.
