Opening Hours

Always there...

Since 2009 we have been providing 24 hour access to the Library across the working week, with extended hours on weekends. Our standard opening pattern in term time is from 12noon on Sunday through to 9pm on Friday, and on Saturdays we are open from 10am - 5pm.

Whenever the Library is open you can return and borrow items, collect reservations (holds), and use study space, and we always have Library staff available to help you.

If you have a more in-depth query about your Library Account, need to arrange to meet with a Subject Librarian, or want to buy one of our Library Bookbags, the Help Desk is open  8.40am - 9pm Monday -Friday,  12 noon - 5pm on Saturdays, and 12 noon - 7pm Sundays. These are also the times you can contact us by phone.

Variations

During Vacations and at the start and end of the academic year there are variations in our opening pattern, which are advertised in the Library or on the daily opening pattern on the front page of the website. If you are planning a trip to us outside of term times please get in touch first to confirm our opening times.

Visitors

Visitor access is permitted during our core opening hours when the Help Desk is staffed (see above). You can find more information on services for visitors here

During Brunel's examination period restrictions are placed on Visitor Access, usually for a period of around 6 weeks. These restrictions are displayed in the Library and on the Visitor pages of our website, as well as being sent to all registered external members.

If you have any questions about this or any other aspect of your Library membership, please do send us an email or call us on +44(0)1895 266141.
