Log in Error - After I try to login, I see a red error message
Error messages such as "Could not log in. Valid authentication credentials were not provided." or "An error occurred while the system was processing this login request." may mean you may have got your log in details wrong.
Please double-check you are entering the correct details - your Student Registration Number and Brunel Network Password.
Check you are entering your Brunel Network Password correctly by trying to log in to Webmail.
If you have forgotten or need to reset your Network Password, you will need to bring your Student ID Card to Computing Support: Ground Floor of the Library (which is inside the Bannerman Centre).
If you can login to Webmail but not Blackboard Learn, and are definitely entering your login details correctly, please contact: Blackboard Learn Support, via the Student Centre: Bannerman Centre (Ground Floor), email: email@example.com or phone: +44 (0)1895 268268
Password - I can't remember my Network Password
You will receive your Brunel Network Account details once you have completed the on-line task in eVision. If you can’t get your Brunel Network Account details on-line, then please visit the Computing Support Team based in the Ground Floor of the Library (which is inside the Bannerman Centre). If you are a distance learning or part time student please email:firstname.lastname@example.org
Your Brunel Network Account Password is the same password you use for accessing services such as Webmail and logging on to Brunel PCs. Please note that it is not the same password as used for eVision.
You can check you are entering your Brunel Network Account password correctly by trying to log in to Webmail. If this is unsuccessful, it is most likely that you will need to get your Brunel Network Account password reset by visiting or e-mailing the Computing Support Team as explained above.
To reset your Network Password, you will need to take your Student ID Card to:
Computing Support, located on the Ground Floor of the Library (which is inside the Bannerman Centre). If you are a distance learning or part time student please get your School administrator to email: email@example.com
Browser - Which browser should I use?
A full list of Blackboard Learn's officially supported browsers can be found at the Release 9.1 SP8 Supported Browsers & Operating Systems Content
We find the Firefox Browser performs the best with Blackboard Learn, although this is not a 'Brunel Computer Centre supported' browser.
