Databases

See below for an alphabetical list of the electronic databases, e-book collections, and e-journal collections to which the library subscribes. Access to these e-resources is restricted to the students and staff of Brunel University for licensing and technical reasons. Some licence agreements may exclude access to databases and their contents from certain countries. It is your responsibility to comply with the terms and conditions of the relevant licence agreements - for more information see the copyright web page on databases - contact copyright@brunel.ac.uk if you have any questions.

For more information on how to access the databases on-campus and off-campus see the e-Library web page. A small number of e-resources require a unique username and password instead. These are given on the password page on our intranet. Please do not share credentials with anyone.

e-Duke Books

Access to more than 100 scholarly frontlist e-books published by Duke University Press during 2012 in the humanities and social sciences. Access to the complete selection of hundreds of backlist e-books is also available in electronic format but only until the end of 2012.

Early English Books Online

EEBO contains digital facsimile page images of virtually every work printed in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and British North America and works in English printed elsewhere from 1473-1700.

EBSCOhost EJS

Ebscohost EJS contains the electronic versions of over 300 journals subscribed to by Brunel Library; from around 1997 onwards. This database covers many disciplines.

Economic and Social Data Service

Four separate resources which provide information on key economic and social data including government surveys and economic time series data. ESDS International offers access to times series data from a range of sources including OECD, World Bank and IMF. You will need to complete registration to use ESDS using your Brunel email address before you may log in.

Elsevier e-Books

Over 300 selected titles from four of Elsevier's e-Book collections (engineering, mathematics, environmental science and materials science) are available via ScienceDirect.

Emerald

Articles from prestigious management journals, full text from 1994. Covers all major management disciplines including marketing and human resource management and also includes engineering topics. (Alternative access is offered via the UK Federation - use the link below and search for Brunel University)

Emerald e-Book series offer a breadth of relevant, quality content featuring high impact, topical research in the areas of, Business, Management, Economics and Social Sciences. These comprehensive collections provide access to more than a 1000 volumes across 130 series titles.

A collection of over 300 specially commissioned peer reviewed chapters from Wiley Interscience.

Ergonomics Abstracts

Ergonomics Abstracts is an international abstracting service, spanning the world of ergonomics and human factors. This abstract only database is updated quarterly. Use Article Linker (AL) to check for full text online sources.

Education Resources Information Center provides access to over 1.4 million bibliographic records with abstracts focused on US education, from 1966 to date. This abstract only database is updated monthly. Use Article Linker (AL) to check for full text online sources.

ESDU provides validated, up-to-date engineering data for the aerospace, structural, process and mechanical engineering disciplines.

Ethnographic Video Online

A comprehensive collection of more than 1,000 films, complete with transcripts, studying human culture and behaviour throughout the world. It features the work of many of the most influential documentary filmmakers of the 20th century.

EThOS

Electronic Theses Online Service: Access to records of over 250K doctoral theses from UK Higher Education institutions, with full text availability for an increasing number.
