Copying from e-journals
Brunel Library subscribes to a large number of published electronic resources. These books, journals and databases are made available under contractual subscription licences which govern their conditions of use.
They are also subject to copyright law. Students and staff may print out copies of articles for their own use or download them for their personal use. However, multiple copying may not always be allowed.
Teaching staff may be permitted to link to these resources within e-learning modules. Check the terms and conditions of the resource before you do this. If you wish to print out multiple copies for class use, or add copies to Blackboard Learn, you must check that this is explicitly permitted by the terms and conditions of use. Some, but not all, e-journal providers may permit multiple copying or downloading for teaching and learning, use in printed course packs, or even in e-learning environments. However, these permissions must be explicitly mentioned in the terms and conditions of the resource.
Links to the conditions of use of some of the main electronic collections we purchase are listed below. Others are available after you have logged in to the resource. If you need advice on whether what you wish to do meets the terms and conditions of use, please contact copyright@brunel.ac.uk
