Prospective students

Choosing the university that's right for you is a major decision, and involves more than finding the right course - you want to know that you'll be provided with excellent services and resources when you need them.

If you choose Brunel, you choose a Library which has seen significant investment in recent years, including an extensive refurbishment in 2011 to provide a comfortable, safe and secure study environment. We have state of the art RFID equipment for fast self service borrowing and returns, and with our term time 24 hour opening you can study at a time that suits you.

As a Brunel student you'll have access to over 400,000 print items, more than 36,000 electronic journals, and a collection of over 4,000 DVDs. You'll be supported by a friendly and professional staff team, including a Subject Librarian for every School and the full range of services provided by ASK, the Academic Skills service.

We're really proud of Brunel, and proud of the Library, but don't just take our word for it - in the 2011 National Student Survey results, 88% stated their satisfaction with the Library, a leap of 30 places on the previous year, putting us 11th in the sector and reflecting the overall high score of the University.

In the annual Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey the Library has a consistently rising score, with the most recent results published in 2011 scoring us 6.1 (out of a possible 7 points) by students. 2011 also saw us shortlisted in the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards in the category or Outstanding Library Management Team.

If you're planning a trip to the campus, you're welcome to have a look for yourself - we'll look forward to seeing you.
