SADAA

The South Asian Diaspora Arts Archive, SADAA (previously known as the South Asian Diaspora Literature and Arts Archive or SALIDAA) features collections of South Asian literature, art, theatre, dance and music by British based artists and organisations. SADAA was founded in 1999 by a group of academics, experts and practitioners of South Asian literature and arts. It demonstrates the contribution made by South Asian people to the development of arts and literature in England.

The  archive covers five main areas: literature, visual arts, theatre, dance and music. It includes material in the English language dating, approximately, from 1947 to the present.

Work is ongoing on digitizing the collections and on making them available via the SADAA website.

Some images are also available on VADS: the online resource for visual arts.
