Crossfit was 'Thrown Down’ in Brunel's IAC
Having been billed as London’s first major CrossFit competition, the London Throwdown did not disappoint in its promise to provide a superb fitness spectacle.
Active Brunel launches ACS Aerobics
This March, Active Brunel joined up with Brunel's Afro Caribbean Society (ACS) to deliver a “Give it A Go” Soca Aerobics session. The session was a great success with over 40 eager and enthusiastic participants attending the workout. Due to its success Active Brunel and ACS now plan to deliver the aerobics session once a fortnight, with further possibilities of other sessions in the future.
BUCS Indoor Championships
Brunel University competed against 100 other institutions in the British Universities Indoor Athletics Championships at the EIS Sheffield – the largest number ever to grace the event. The women’s team finished second to old foes Loughborough, while the men’s team finished third behind Loughborough and Birmingham. The medal haul travelling back down the M1 to Uxbridge included three golds, four silvers and three bronzes.
