We are working in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association to develope an exciting programme of tennis this year. This is a new and innovative way of delivering a sports development programme at Brunel as well as providing opportunities for competitive tennis, a comprehensive range of
Weekly tennis sessions
All sessions take place at the Sports Park Tennis Courts except the Active Brunel Touch Tennis session, which is in the Netball Hall.
Coached sessions are taken by University Tennis Co-ordinator James Ireland, unless stated otherwise.

* Beginner sessions- Weekly structured coaching programme, from learning the basics of each shot to developing their groundstrokes.
** Improver sessions- Slightly more advanced than the beginners, where we have a structured coaching programme with more game based drills designed to improve match play.
*** Social sessions- Members are able to come down and play matches or have a casual hit against other members.
Upcoming one-off events
Valentine Doubles 9th Feb
A fun mixed/non-mixed doubles tournament for members of the tennis club to play matches against both social and team players. The competition will be either a straight knockout or round robin event with the champion pair winning a tin of Babolat balls each.

2nd March Touch Tennis tournament (open to all members and non-members)
Brunel’s second Touch Tennis event with 300 points and £70 prize money available to the winner

- £5 entry

- National Tennis Centre, Roehampton
- Dates TBC, March 2013

RAG Week “Beat the Coach” competition
- Monday 28th January 1200-1500 Location: Quad -Lecture Centre
- Donate 50p to RAG for a chance to beat the coach at Touch Tennis and win a prize
