Passivity and Jouissance: Reflections on three focus group studies of nurses in England and Australia.
Professor Michael Traynor: Professor of Nursing Middlesex University is Head of Centre for Research in Healthcare Practice and Policy Chair of Nursing and Midwifery. His research is focused around policy issues and the effect of the evidence based movement on professional identity in nursing and medicine. He also has an interest in discourse analysis and recently in Lacanian psychotherapy. He is editor of both the journal of Health, Illness and Medicine and European editor of Nursing Inquiry.
