Professor Shildrick’s research interests include young people and social exclusion, youth transitions, youth culture and sub-culture, youth crime, illicit drug use, social class analysis and qualitative methodologies. This paper will highlight issues of methodology, as well as the inequalities revealed by studies of drug use among young people. We particularly welcome colleagues from the Law School to join those of us in the Health’s various social and medical fields, and the seminar will be followed by a wine reception.
