Profile

John is a geographer, whose teaching and research interests focus on the lives of children and young people. In particular, John has expertise in relation to mobility, play and care. He also specialises in methodological issues. John works with a variety of organisations and has successfully been awarded grants from government departments, local authorities and voluntary organisations. John has published widely amongst a variety of internationally renowned journals. He is also the secretary of the Royal Geographical Society’s Geographies of Children, Youth and Families Research Group. John teaches on a number of programmes, including BA/MA Social Work and MA Children, Youth and International Development.
