Ways of Seeing Evaluation

This report summarises the evaluation of Ways of Seeing, a community arts project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and hosted by the Lightbox, Woking, Surrey from 2008-11. The project was skilfully designed and led to enable disabled people to make a significant contribution, enhancing their well-being and resulting in Ways of Seeing, a major public art exhibition which was widely appreciated.

Children In Need- SOUP KITCHEN

We would like to say a huge thank you to all the members of staff from the School of Health Sciences and Social Care who kindly supported the Children in Need Soup Kitchen today, approximately £120 was raised in an hour!!

Poetry

Alan Sutherland has been our Poet in Residence over the past year, funded by the Leverhulme Trust to develop an innovative approach to gaining insight into the life stories of people with disabilities. He has just completed a series of transcription poems, drawing on interviews to create rich and moving insights for Disability Arts Online.

Living with Psychosis

The Researching Psychosis Together group are currently working on two publications from the Living with Psychosis research.

Launch of Standards We Expect

The findings of the report on Standards We Expect, a national research and development programme, led by service-users and supported by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, were published at a launch in Westminster on May 18th, with the book Supporting People. Towards a person-centred approach.
