New and future research

Atwal  et al The effectiveness of pre-discharge home visits. Funding will be sought from BUPA foundation, Hounslow PCT and Research for Benefit program. This is the third phase of a research study to investigate the effectiveness of occupational therapy pre-discharge home visits. The planned methodology is a controlled trial.

Craik, Bryant and Prior have been funded by South West London and St Georges’s Mental Health NHS Trust to explore mental health day service users’ views of community social networks and recreational activities. This will be a participatory action research project involving service users and it commenced in the summer 2007.
