Abstract
Allseas group is a world leader in offshore industrial sector. The main core of the business is the installation of pipelines for oil and gas on the seabed and other deep and shallow waters projects. Currently the company broaden its scope by heavy lift operations starting to build absolutely unique vessel Pieter Schelte, which is supposed to install, dismantle and transport offshore platforms. A lot of challenges were undertaken since the company was established in 1985, based on innovations and research work. Examples of Innovations department projects will be given and some open problems will be discussed. Possible internship and MSc student projects will be indicated.
