Brunel Social Work at BASW 2017 Conference

Conference

MA Social Work students Sehrish Ali and Jane Murdoch travelled to Leicester to represent Brunel at the 2017 British Association of Social Workers England Conference.

Acting as ambassadors for Brunel Social Work, Jane and Sehrish made the most of the opportunity to network with Social Work practitioners and take part in discussions about the future of their profession.  Key outcomes from the conference included the agreement of a zero-tolerance statement on any form of racism or unfair discrimination.

Jane and Sehrish also reported back on conference workshops they attended on resilience in social work, human rights and ethics, fostering and adoption, and social work with older people.  Congratulations to Jane and Sehrish for representing Brunel and making the most of their time at the conference.
