About Kelly

Kelly is a senior lecturer in Sport Psychology and Research Methods at Brunel University. She has been a member of the Brunel community for a number of years attaining her first class BSc (Hons) Sport Sciences degree from the institution in 2001, followed by her PhD in 2004, after which she joined as a member of staff. Since her appointment, she has taken on a number of roles and responsibilities including course leader for Sport Sciences and more recently, Deputy Head of School (Teaching and Learning).

  • Choking and the proposed underlying mechanisms of self-consciousness and reinvestment
  • Attentional control and performance disruption
  • The use of secondary and priming tasks to alleviate performance disruption
