The Centre for Sports Medicine and Human Performance has a primary focus on integrative aspects of human physiology, biomechanics and sport and exercise psychology.

Employing biomechanical principles to understand and improve movement performance in athletes, children, and clinical populations.

Cardiovascular Physiology
Focusing on the cardiovascular determinants of human performance and the vascular signals regulating human skeletal muscle blood flow.

Psychology
The psychology group research interests are focused on perceptual expertise and skill failure under stress.

Respiratory Physiology
The focus of research by the respiratory physiology grouping is broadly upon respiratory limitations to exercise tolerance.
The Centre for Sports Medicine and Human Performance
CSMHP focuses on integrative aspects of human physiology, biomechanics and sport and exercise psychology.
We seek to further the understanding of the regulation and adaptation of the cardiovascular, respiratory and neuromuscular systems to exercise and training, as well as the physiological, biomechanical and psychological limitations to human sport performance and exercise tolerance.
