PhD Student Wins Postgraduate Award

Robin Gibbons, PhD student in exercise physiology, has won Best Postgraduate Poster at the recent British Association of Sport & Exercise Sciences Student Conference held at the University of East London. Robin’s poster focused on functional electrical stimulation (FES) rowing, which is a novel form of high intensity exercise for those with spinal cord injury. See the winning poster.
